A call to action.
“The time for talk is over. It’s time to act.” This was the repeated theme last nite spoken by different presenters at The Woodville Freedom Group.
I agree. Two ideas follow.
Over Zoom, Scott lamented the fact that the many past Freedom rallies, and even The Freedom Convoy of 2022, have not been enough to bring about the changes needed to stop “The New Normal”. It continues to sweep over us at the hands of globalist actors associated with unelected groups like the UN’s World Economic Forum (WEF) International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
These organizations have gradually infiltrated governments at every level in Canada over a long period of time. They are achieving their objectives one piece of legislation and one public regulation at a time in a manner that is ‘under the radar’ of most citizens. By-laws are passed by municipal governments as the result of effective lobbying of City Councillors by special interest groups like ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability . Provincial regulations (there are over 400,000 of them enforced under Ontario’s government) are created and put into enforcement silently with no fuss or opposition from citizens. Federal MPs roll over to pressures from Party leaders to pass bills into law without hesitation in order to maintain “party solidarity” even at the expense of their riding constituents. Democracy is a sham and broken beyond recognition.
Follow Alberta’s Lead
I am inspired by the actions of Danielle Smith in Alberta.
Her government recently passed Alberta’s Sovereignty Act to draw a line in the sand and declare in no uncertain terms that Alberta will no longer take orders from Ottawa. Any federal law that abridges the rights, freedoms, opportunities and interests of Albertan’s will no longer be enforced on Alberta. Quebec has already enjoyed a similar privileged status with Ottawa for a long time.
I propose that Ontario’s citizens follow Alberta’s lead. The Ontario Charter of Rights and Freedoms is signed by The People of Ontario. Let’s circulate it to every Ontario resident for their signatures of endorsement. Let’s declare this campaign as a referendum on the sovereignty of Ontario residents who wish to take charge of our own individual and community destinies without the grubby hands of federal elites telling us how to live our lives. This will also enable us to put a wall between any global agreement that Ottawa signs with the UN or WHO and Ontario’s residents. The signatories will be informed that their support is needed to put pressure on the Premier to create a comparable Sovereignty Act for Ontario. Hopefully, all other provinces will fall in line.
SWOT the WEF
Another concern needs attention. The WEF is gaining far too much influence in Canada and too many Canadians are ‘asleep at the wheel’ allowing a ‘car wreck’ to occur will no sense of being in imminent danger.
I propose a podcast series to take apart every policy statement, unsubstantiated claim and ideological premise presented on the WEF’s web site. Each episode could cover a single item and be analyzed using the SWOT+ methodology to evaluate its merits and risks in a panel discussion format.
The series could be called ‘SWOT the WEF’ and be made available on Substack, Rumble and possible Youtube (pending their acceptance under “community guidelines”). This series should be monetized in order to eventually pay contributors for their content and work. The WEF is very well funded. We need to build comparable capabilities to push the likes of the WEF back under the rocks where they belong.
These are two action items that could be initiated by members of the Woodville Freedom Group and its associated affiliates.
