A Life Lens on the Public Order Emergency Commission
Tom Marazzo has a unique perspective to offer on POEC and I want to hear more.
Last nite, Tom Marazzo, author of The People’s Emergency Act, spoke briefly at The Woodville Freedom Group gathering. It takes place every Monday evening at the Seventh Day Adventist Fellowship church in Woodville, Ontario. It was the fourth time he spoke to this community in the past year. He and I spoke briefly after his presentation.
Tom’s presentation was too short due to time limitations of the event, but he clearly had a great deal more to share on the topic of POEC and the Freedom Convoy.
I wish to encourage Tom to create a series of YouTube, Rumble and/or Substack videos of Commission testimonies in order to offer his personal take on each of the most important ones, especially Justin Trudeau’s and Chrystia Freeland. (The Dastardly Duo of Ottawa).
I have not read Tom’s book, but his verbal commentary last night reveals that his 6 week attendance at the Commission afforded him a valuable and unique perspective. Most importantly, Tom is NOT a government-paid partisan actor who is obligated to spin narratives of deception about POEC that serve only to protect the Liberal government from any risk of culpability or liability. Instead, Tom is a brave, honest, sincere and well-spoken Canadian who was fortunate enough to witness first hand an historic Canadian event.
As Tom explained, POEC was required by legislation to expose to all Canadian citizens Justin Trudeau’s alleged justification for invoking The Emergencies Act last year. Upon its conclusion, the Commission is widely considered a sham - one carried out as a public relations stunt on the laughable pretence of holding our Prime Minister accountable to us for his decisions.
Most Canadians who followed POEC saw it as a farce that made a mockery of the whole notion of government ‘transparency and accountability’. The outright lies, deceptions, obfuscations and misinformation that were proffered by many of those “public servants” who were accountable for enforcing the Emergencies Act episode is now in recorded evidence. For those who care to watch the many hours of footage, it shows the many (~50) characters involved in POEC and their testimonies.
While Tom may have already covered much of what he wants to say about POEC and the Trucker Convoy in his book, his spoken word will come across as more compelling and accessible than just his written words. Videos/audios of Tom talking about his experience on Substack, Rumble and/or YouTube will boost his book sales, sure. Most vitally, however, he will keep the infamous events of this past year in the public’s awareness lest anyone forget what a farce our federal government had actually become in 2022 over the whole Freedom Convoy affair.
Tom’s voice on POEC deserves to be preserved in “the public record”. I suggest that his wife could play a part in the recordings by teeing up his commentary - asking a series of planned questions to walk him through his experience of the Commission. Like a Jordan Peterson podcast, two people engaged in dialogue often comes across as more dynamic, nuanced and less contrived than a single speaker.
Tom was a candidate for the Ontario Party in the 2022 election. A series of POEC commentary episodes by Tom will boost his name recognition and image as a public figure. This will serve him well if he chooses to be a politician candidate again.
I have never met Tom in person, but what I have seen of him during the Freedom Convoy was quite admirable with everything that was going on at the time and with the LIBs and PM playing their many games. I would say he would make a great candidate again after listening to him in various interviews this past year. He is admirable and has more integrity in his pinky finger, than all the WEF puppets in our combined government (I am sure of it!). Another great article Gene! Sharing for sure!
