Accountability by AI
A great business opportunity for an AI LLM entrepreneur exists right now. Unfortunately, Dr. Teresa Tam may not be happy about this.

Imagine the potential.
Elon Musk is finding waste, incompetence, fraud and deception across many federal agencies under his authority as head of DOGE USA. One of his assets is GROK, an AI platform. His unprecedented speed at finding faults in government operations and decisions is surely augmented by GROK or comparable systems.
When these tools gain widespread use across all sectors of government, there will never again be a public official who is tempted to “colour outside the lines” of his or her scope of defined responsibilities.
In its infancy.
Moments ago, I finished a call with the head of a small, entrepreneurial software company who employs AI Developers. They specialize to solutions designed to improve public sector efficiency and performance.
I referred the Bret_Spears X link to him (see image) because Bret is seeking people with AI expertise to help him navigate 250,000 pages of information. Seeing this as an excellent business opportunity, we discussed the vast potential to help investigators like Bret to shift through huge FOIA requests like the one he accessed regarding the communications history of Dr. Teresa Tam during the Covid era. If she has nothing to hide, she will have nothing to fear.
This kind of AI application, designed to oversee and monitor all internal and external communications by any person or entity that is taxpayer funded, is the best hope citizens have to eventually attain excellent transparency and accountability from the public sector.
I expect that this kind of monitoring technology will eventually become standard for every public sector job, and even for those third party organizations who are closest to the workforce, the labour unions.
Public Service 3.0
Medicine 3.0 is emerging to supplant Medicine 2.0. Technology is enabling his evolution. The same phenomenon will gradually transform the public sector too.
Public Service 3.0 will truly serve individual citizens in a manner that is tailored to their individual circumstances.
The degree of efficiency, effectiveness and responsiveness will compare favourably with the best organizations that you now favour in the private sector.
Respect, trust, fair.
AI, and its associated capabilities, are sure to bring a degree of respectability and trust to those employed in government jobs, and to reverse the public’s low opinion of the public sector today. It may be “too little, too late” for seniors like me, but I will be pleased to see these benefits come to my children and grandchildren.
