Automotive corporate welfare is unacceptable to this Canadian!

Jay Goldberg, CTF Ontario Director, broadcast an email to encourage Canadian taxpayers to tell federal and provincial government officials to stop EV subsidies. I followed Jay’s advice.

Gentlemen,

I learned today that some $57, 000,000,000 of Canadian tax dollars have been given to Volkswagon, Ford and Stellantis by the Trudeau and Ford governments. WHY? 

Let me guess your motives.

• Was it to pay ransom money to keep Canadian automotive jobs from leaving Canada? What was the subsidy cost per job saved?

• Was it a bribe with “strings attached” to ensure that the Trudeau and Ford political priorities on matters like “climate change” would be supported and followed without question? Was the adoption of DEI policies in their corporate HR departments also part of the deal for taking the bribe money? 

• Was it also because the CEOs of those automotive manufacturers had refused to build EVs unless governments paid the enormous cost of rejigging the automotive manufacturing and supply chain operations in order to make those products? 

A better and more democrative way.

Rather than taxing Canadians so that politicians can bribe automotive corporations, may I suggest a better way to serve Canadian taxpayers than to steal $57,000,000,000 from then to promote your autocratic ends. 

First:

Refund $57,000,000,000 to taxpayers with tax cuts. Finance this refund by closing every federal and provincial government department that has any responsibility for the Climate Change Crisis Theory.

The first job to cut should be the one held by Steven Guilbeault. It is always a good practice to cut off the head of a snake if you want to stop it from permanently doing any more damage. 

Second.

Declare the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and the Paris Climate Accord as threats to Canadian sovereignty made by unelected and unwelcome intruders. Insist that their representatives leave their “dirty boots” (i.e. propaganda) at the door before entering Canada. 

Some individual Canadians may prefer EVs instead of cars powered by internal combustion engines. They are free to use their personal earnings to make such purchases WITHOUT YOU IMPOSING TAX SACRIFICES ON EVERY OTHER CANADIAN for their privilege of making a personal EV decision. 

Where did Canada go?

The changes to life in Canada over my lifetime have been gradual - almost imperceptible - but they are very real.

I grew up in Canada and have never moved from Ontario. Yet, Canada has moved away from me and left behind a nation I no longer recognize.

Some people now refer to Canada, a nation of people who now live under the thumb of the state, as “Canadistan”. It’s a slur to reference the central planning virus that infects everyone in a pandemic disease yet to the acknowledged and named.

As an MPP and MP, you are two men who hold the power to do something about this pandemic. Do your jobs! Serve Canadians, not globalists!!
