BRAVO! Community Voluntarism in action!
Vincent Parkhurst and Mitch Alexander deserve our appreciation and donations for their new initiative to help struggling residents. Thank you also goes to Catherine Whitehall for writing her article.
“Feed Fenelon” - What a brilliant idea!
It reminds me of the story that my mother and stepfather told of their life as children during the 1930s in Unionville, Ontario. Mom’s words have stayed with me for decades:
“No one locked their front door because a neighbour might need a cup of sugar”.
It was a time when community members helped each other even though family resources where stretched to the limit during the Great Depression.

As an ardent Advocate for Less Government, I respect and admire the founders of Feed Fenelon for its spirit of voluntarism. It is a non-government, not-for-profit enterprise. It is the brainchild of three Fenelon residents who simply care about the less fortunate among us and took action to do something about it! Please follow their example with whatever help you can offer to make this venture a great success!
