BRICS Summit approaches
While the West is embroiled in numerous crises, mostly of its own making, the East and South are creating a bridge to escape US hegemonic control economically and geo-politically.
Zork Hun has a global eye.
I found the link below in the Substack article ‘Sleepwalking into the global future’ posted by Zork, a Canadian who grew up in Communist Hungary before emigrating to Canada over twenty years ago. We met about fifteen years ago through the Ontario Libertarian Party and share in common our interest in the slow motion train wreck that is our world today.
The BRICS first captured my attention around 2004 when I purchased a BRICS ETF to diversify my retirement portfolio. My stake was small but it encouraged me to think about the significant economic actors of Brazil, Russia, India, China and (later) South Africa. I wish I had kept my stake given the content of the video below.
Fortunately, I subscribe to Zork’s Substack to get a regular dose of his insights into geo-politics. It’s easy to get caught up in the insular navel-gazing typical of local news outlets but, once in a while, it’s a good idea to look abroad.
The significance of the upcoming 2024 BRICS summit cannot be understated. Watch this short video and you will see why.
That was very educational for me, Gene. Thank you for the Brics update video, and, as always. the perspective from your Life Lens .
