“Control perception, and you control the people”
Some Substack posts are so good that they deserve to be shared widely. As someone who has paid attention to contemporary and past uses of ‘mass formation psychosis’, Gaz’s article hit home for me.
Propaganda and Mass Formation Psychosis
We can’t see it, but we can feel it in the way out bodies react when something we hear seems ‘off’. This is the “felt sense” about which Dr. Eugene Gendlin spoke over sixty years ago.
I feel a visceral sense of disgust whenever I see Justin Trudeau speaking to Canadians over TV broadcasts because I know on both a conscious and subconscious level how much evil he injected into Canada’ s domestic and geo-political landscapes. I knew he would be bad for Canada when he was first elected in late 2015, but never imagined he would be THIS bad.
Now I feel a deep sense of foreboding with Marc Carney at the wheel. He is aiming the Big Ship Canada straight towards a massive iceberg that will sink Canada for good if he wins a majority government. Carney is capable of far more destruction to Canada’s economy and culture than Justin because he is far more intelligent and better connected than the outgoing Prime Minister could ever hope to be.
I would not fear Carney if I had confidence that the majorly of Canadian voters would NOT consume the “politically correct” mainstream propaganda, then spout it to their friends, colleagues and family with an air of superiority because are “informed” by the CBC, Global News, and CNN, and they read the Toronto Star, Global & Mail, the New York Times, and the Economist magazine - all perfect sources for the mind control intended by their corporate brand of propaganda.
Locked Out Without a Key.
I have been forbidden to run as an Independent candidate in this federal election by Elections Canada. Initially, I felt real disappointment, but now I feel relief. After 11 prior elections, I knew well that my voice would be inconsequential against the BIG PROPAGANDA forces campaigning for another Liberal majority funded by out tax dollars.
I continued to run as a candidate anyway because I had to do something - anything - that might tilt the needle towards LESS GOVERNMENT- even a little bit.
The needle never budged.
I am sad to report that my efforts as a political candidate amounted to no concrete results.
Gaz’s article explains why small-time politicians like me, operating independently and with very little party support against the Political Power Oligopoly of the Liberals, NDP, BQ and (to some extent) Conservatives was, and will always engaged in a laughable contest.
If Carnage is elected, Canada as we know it is doomed.
