I have a dream...
No, I am not channelling Martin Luther King Jr. I legitimately hope that the DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES: The Rights of All Persons & The Duties of Government” will revive Canada.
More on the MOTION TO COUNCIL.
In my last Substack post, I revealed a MOTION TO COUNCIL that I plan to present to the Council of the City of Kawartha Lakes. This MOTION contains a recently published “DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES: The Rights of All Persons & The Duties of Government”. It’s potential to revive democracy in Canada is great but only if we get enough Canadians will act.
My dream is to find and encourage at least one person in every one of Ontario’s 443 municipalities to deliver a deputation to his or her local Council requesting the Municipal government to either include this DECLARATION in its Strategic Plan or, better yet, include it within the legal statutes that empower that government to serve its constituent citizens and businesses.
Imagine the possibilities
If only ONE such deputation is presented, it may make local news.
If TEN such deputations are presented, it may make regional news and appear on X, Facebook, Tik Tok and Instagram.
If ONE HUNDRED such deputations are presented, it may make provincial news (TV, newspapers, magazines) and will begin to trend widely on X, Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, Rumble, Parler.
If TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY such deputations are presented, it will
Make provincial and national news (TV, newspapers, magazines), trend even more widely on X, Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, Rumble, Parler.
Podcast hosts with feature this phenomenon and the likes of Dr. Jordan Peterson, Trish Wood, Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan will pose the question: “What is going on in Canada?”
The other provinces will quickly follow the example and, ideally, reach the 3537 municipal governments in the nation.
Citizens will lobby their local MPPs to put forth a Bill to amend the Municipal Act to incorporate the DECLARATION in its entirely thereby making it provincial law that all municipal government employees conduct their work responsibilities strictly according to the Principles.
What this means to you…
The DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES: The Rights of All Persons & The Duties of Government was written by Canadians for ALL CANADIANS without prejudice.
As such, it belongs in the public domain and must not be tampered with by lawyers, public officers or politicians because it is the PROPERTY OF ALL CANADIANS.
It’s Principles apply to every Canadian equally regardless of faith, ethnicity, age, or any other characteristic or demographic that may be construed to advantage any person or group.
A Shield of Protection
Each Canadian can erect this DECLARATION as a shield to defend and protect themselves against any abuses of power which may result in harm or aggression initiated against them.
In addition, the unwanted consequences of such acts will be attributed solely to the perpetrator(s), not their employer. Taxpapers must never again be forced to pay the legal bills for a few “bad applies” within public institutions or their partnering organizations, labour unions included.
The Significance Must Be Understood
This “DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES: The Rights of All Persons & The Duties of Government” is a landmark document that, if promoted and supported by Canadians nationwide, IS THE INSTRUMENT WE NEED to revive the dream of a truly Canadian democracy that our founders clearly envisioned. Those original forefathers are not here today to speak out. It falls on each of us to breathe life back into their dream and energize it to shine brightly in the hearts and minds of everyone who values their liberty and prosperity.
Gene, a helpful and supportive post. Thank you.
I share your dream…only…I wish it read “Men and Women” instead of “persons”. If it did, I would promote it much more enthusiastically myself.
