Is Net Zero subject to public review?
“Net-zero means that all emissions produced are absorbed through plants and trees or buried through carbon-capture technology”. Minister Guilbeault: please reveal the details to explain this policy!
What exactly does ‘Net Zero’ mean?
The average human exhales about 2.3 pounds of carbon dioxide on an average day. In a year, that’s about 840 pounds and 63,000 pounds (31.5 tonnes) in a 75-year lifespan. With 8,000,000,000 people alive on earth, human respiration accounts for about 252 billion tonnes of CO2 per year and 18,900,000,000,000 tonnes over 75 years which takes us to the end of this century.
Do the above calculations explain why some people claim that the earth is overpopulated? The burning of fossil fuels by humans adds to the above calculations compound the alleged CO2 emissions problem. Obviously, the magnitude of the problem would drop with any future reduction in our global population.
Climate Change alarmists want a massive reduction in energy derived from burning fossil fuels which, over the past few centuries, has powered an unprecedented increase in human security, longevity and prosperity.
Climate Change skeptics are certain that replacing reliable and affordable fossil fuel energy with unreliable and expensive solar and wind energy sources will have a devastating impact on past human progress. They view the goal of ‘Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions’ as a fantasy with enormous repercussions to humanity.

Canada's Net Zero carbon emissions policy is a commitment to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, and a framework of accountability and transparency to deliver on it¹². Net-zero means that all emissions produced are absorbed through plants and trees or buried through carbon-capture technology³. The policy includes setting five-year national emissions-reduction targets, developing credible, science-based emissions-reduction plans for each target, and reporting to Parliament on the progress¹. The policy also involves public participation and independent advice from the Net-Zero Advisory Body¹⁴. The policy aims to avert the worst impacts of climate change and transition to a cleaner, prosperous economy¹⁵.

In the spirit of transparency and accountability
Dear Minister Guilbeault.
Energy Security is one of the top concerns of Canadians. It is an ongoing and escalation threat with no end in sight. Your department needs help to address this issue. Knowledge and concerned citizens with relevant expertise can help.
I propose that the Government of Canada reveal the details of the science, research data and analysis that underpins the Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 mandate. Besides your staff, there are many Canadians employed outside of government bodies that possess the analytical skills to review and assess your Net Zero plans, strategies and reports, as well as the assumptions upon which they are based.
If Canadian taxpayers are expected to fund and debt-finance the “Climate Change Governmental Complex” of Canada under your leadership, then those who are responsible for the Net Zero program should share their work with us. After all, it is well known that scientists who publish their research in respected journals must submit their papers to peer review and be willing to make their data and research design details available to other researchers who may wish to repeat and validate the original work and findings.
You have often claimed that the government’s Climate Change policies are based on scientific research. If your claims are true, then your organization must be privy to plenty of research publications and data. Would you agree to provide web links to all research resources under your command to allow access by independent Canadians to provide a sober second look on the evidence that has informed Climate Change policies? This is vital because many of those policies are clearly threatening the Energy Security of Canadian homeowners and businesses nationwide and this in one area under government control that deserves a closer look by all stakeholders.
I look forward to your reply.
Our anointed leaders claim exemption from personal responsibility for any and all climate problems. Only the plebs are the cause and must be punished for , existing I suppose. As to the net zero thing that rules this insanity, the world is in thermodynamic equilibrium at all times and if we can understand that, we have a chance to remove the chains of servitude from our own necks.
You are asking a former climate change extremist, turned politician / cabinet minister, hired gun for Trudeau to be accountable ! He does not have a leg to stand on and knows it. Just another WEF puppet at work pushing a false narrative agenda.
