Let me count the ways...
John Tory adds one more notch on my belt for reasons that I am an Advovate for Less Government!
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely!
I have a very long belt. It stretches as far as the eye can see. I needed it because politicians and public officials have graced me with countless “notch” opportunities to justify my commitment to speak out against the excessively large, costly and unnecessary scope of authority that the majority of voters have assigned to “leaders”.
John Tory seemed like a reasonable choice for Toronto Mayor eight years ago from a set of questionable options. What happened to him? How did Tory come to this moment that he leaves the public limelight in disgrace? At least he did the honourable thing - he resigned and admitted his sin publically. I wish Justin Trudeau would do the same thing for all of his scandals and treasonous behaviour against Canadians.

In this article, Sue-Ann Levy captures a smidgeon of my contempt for John Tory’s scandalous misadventure and his decision to surround himself with “yes men” in order to bolster his power base. The City of Toronto badly needs a re-think about the distribution of powers between individual citizens and the municipal government. Will Sue-Ann start a public discussion about what life in Toronto could be like with such a balance whereby abuses of power like this can be avoided?
