Looking in the mirror.
It’s the “pot calling the kettle black” when one of the world’s largest labour unions accuses Costco of unethical conduct. Using force to pressure business owners to “bend the knee” in immoral.

“By dismissing approximately 98 percent of the proposed provisions, the wholesale giant has signalled a troubling unwillingness to bargain in good faith and is taking an aggressive anti-union stance,” the union said.
BING Copilot offered me the following information.

CONCLUSIONS.
Costco “… signalled a troubling unwillingness to bargain in good faith and is taking an aggressive anti-union stance,” the union said” ????
“The pot calling the kettle black” is an appropriate idiom to apply when comparing these two massive corporate entities and identifying how they are so un-alike.
Consider the differences between Costco and the Teamsters union.
Costco serves tens of millions of Americans and Canadians by offering desirable products at competitive prices and on a convenient basis. Costco also employs thousands of citizens and provides business opportunities for countless suppliers. Every participant engages with Costco on a voluntary basis.
Teamsters serves 1.3 million members exclusively. Their corporate and institutional “clients” employ staff under the non-negotiable term of union membership contracts. The union leaders have the immoral power (under government authorization) to shut down Costco’s operations for failing to meet their “bargaining” terms which amount to something akin to blackmail. .
Have you ever heard such a load of one-sided BS from the spokesperson of an immoral organization like the International Brotherhood of Teamsters?
What’s worse is that they also offer college scholarships to make them look like “good guys” while ensuring that those student recipients will be subjected to its Marxist propaganda.
Is it any wonder that American and Canadian societies have become increasingly socialist in lockstep with the growth of unions as they gained in wealth, power and influence over recent decades?
I have relatives that are high up in THE UNION. They enjoy first class travel all over the world for the various conferences they attend (and many were not union related). I own a private retail business and I cannot tell you the number of times THE RELATIVES sniffed as they declared I became successful OFF THE BACKS OF MY EMPLOYEES!!! This is while they were enjoying MY HOSPITALITY in MY HOME. As the host, I wanted them to feel welcome, did not want to cause trouble, and more or less laughed it off.
Then COVID hit. It was highly stressful for business owners EVERYWHERE. A few more punches to the face (by email, of course) regarding business owners being pigs at the trough that turn in to hogs that get slaughtered, and telling me I WAS HOLDING THE ENTIRE COUNTRY HOSTAGE because I refused the shot, and my patience wore out. I lost my relationship with these two. I do not know whether it will be repaired. I do find it curious though, as I stated earlier, they fly FIRST CLASS on the union dime, I do not fly first class. Yet they accuse ME of sucess because I take advantage of my staff to enrich myself. POT MEET KETTLE!
