My First Impression of the CCCA
A trustworthy information source backed by patriotic professionals who share an honourable purpose. A safe haven for sciencific endeavours and an antidote to the ills of systemic propaganda.
Newly minted.
Proudly, I was recently accepted by the Canadian Covid Care Alliance (CCCA) to donate my writing skills as a volunteer to the External Communications Committee (ECC). It’s an honour to join the cause of this organization which boasts 1000+ paid members and a respected international reputation built in the span of just a few years.
The dozen or so members of the ECC includes authors, a film maker, a graphic artist, a retired journalist, teachers and other capable people to carry out various public communications initiatives. Our shared mission is to bring information content to the public which will be easily absorbed and readily accessible over as many communications vehicles as possible.
As a newcomer, I am still feeling my way around this organization and its website.
Today, I decided to share my impressions.
First, I’ll recount how I came to know about the Canadian Covid Care Alliance. Then, I will explain what has drawn me to become part of its mission now and attempt to describe the “lens” through which I plan to make my contributions. The timeline will help.
In March 2020
I reacted like most citizens to the threat of a novel coronavirus coming from China. Paying attention to a cacophony of news broadcasts, I felt the shared uncertainty and anxiety which invaded our lives as persistent and sensational pandemic messaging. These were assaults on our psyches. They were crafted and disseminated by political and public officials over all of the major corporate media outlets.
My suspicion of the news coverage was inevitable because I was aware that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had enacted a $595 million annual fund to subside the corporate media giants in October 2018. Ostensively to help that industry to adapt to Internet competition, it seemed more like a veiled bribe to “encourage” media executives to command their editorial staff to be “friendly” to Liberal policies.
Suspicion soon became anger. The bogus Covid claims, reports and narratives continued well beyond a reasonable timeframe, sustained by unreasonable public elites.
After watching Dr. Pierre Kory’s testimony to the US Senate, I was fully convinced that “the con was in” and it wasn’t likely to end soon. Kory bravely and passionately reported his experience as a medical doctor treating Covid patients in the Intensive Care Unit of his hospital. Dr. Kory’s professional credentials as a respiratory expert and his clinical experience was impressive. I followed his efforts to re-purpose existing FDA-approved drugs, including ivermectin, to treat the early stages of the disease. To say that the constraints imposed in him and the threats made by the authorities of his governing profession was disconcerting is a gross understatement.
Dr. Kory was among the first of many be subjected to what amounted to a witch-hunt against any medical professional who dared to prescribe or offer treatments that strayed from institutionally-approved protocols. The patient-doctor relationship was under attack by bureaucrats.
It was this assault on his profession that prompted Dr. Kory to found the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC) along with Dr. Paul Marek, another esteemed MD. They both suffered similarly under the authoritarian restrictions and powers of the prevailing Covid regime.
My admiration and respect grew.
I celebrated the steady stream of COVID-19 dissidents who began to appear on podcasts such as Trish Woods Is Critical and The Tom Woods Show. Many of them were allied with groups like the FLCCC Alliance and the CCCA. The hosts and their guests became my unsung heros of personal sovereignty and informed consent.
Most Canadians and Americans had believed they were entitled to their freedom of informed choice regarding their bodies, but soon discovered this was not so. The majority simply behaved like The Stepford Wives and dutifully did as they were told by authoritarians who ignored their duty to abide by, defend, protect or enforce Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
To the heroes went my admiration and respect. To the “captured” went my sympathy and, ocasionally, my alarm at how easily they followed orders without thinking critically about them.
Later in 2020 and into 2021
I became aware of Dr. Byram Bridle and his work as a virologist and vaccine researcher at the University of Guelph. He, like Pierre Kory, was actively seeking ways to treat COVID-19. While following both Drs. Kory and Bridle (among others) on social media, I also watched dozens of hours of Dr. Been Medical Lectures on YouTube.
Dr. Been is a gifted teacher who uses his artistic talents to explain and graphically represent medical topics involving the microbiology of disease processes. This regular study habit served me well. It deepened my understanding and knowledge about Covid-19 and, subsequently, the mechanisms of action of the EUA-approved, mRNA gene therapy drugs.
Yes, I’m a rabbit hole spelunker.
My two daughters are medical professionals. My eldest is a staff pharmacist currently employed by a Children’s Hospital in Ohio. She worked for a hospital in Maine when the pandemic began and partnered with an ICU doc to formulate a protocol to treat their first COVID-19 patient in mid 2020. My youngest, a dietician, worked on wards with Covid patients at a Canadian hospital while the pandemic raged.
Both daughters urged me to take the jab. I firmly resisted until July 2021 when I accepted one Pfizer jab. Within an hour, I experienced an adverse reaction which left me with “kaleidoscope vision” for about an hour. I swore I’d never take another jab and all trust in pharma products eroded significantly.
Fear is based on perspective and circumstance.
I am a healthy, retired senior and a life-long health and physical fitness enthusiast. I live in rural Ontario in a forest far from crowed centres. As such, I did not particularly fear Covid-19. I encountered only a little ‘social distancing’ compared to city folk and never wore a mask except when absolutely required.
What did frighten me was the authoritarian way our government and healthcare authorities pushed these experimental mRNA products. Their behaviour wasn’t rational or even based on science. “Virtue signaling” seemed the primary motive for many of the willing conformists to the “new normal”.
Through 2021 and into 2022.
As the stories about oppressive tactics aimed at Drs. Kory, Bridle and a growing number of other medical professionals appeared, I became increasily alarmed. Following adverse reaction reports of others, including members of my own family, became the new gravitational pull of yet another rabbit hole. Fortunately, several podcasters offered statiscal evidence derived from respected research and data sources to unravel the apparent mystery of excess deaths.
In utter disbelief, I watched as these and other important stories were suppressed and authors demonized by the CBC, state-subsidized media, and the censorship policies of social media platforms carried out by so-called “fact checkers”. In 2021, for example, I discovered that Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche had been ringing alarm bells about immune escape for many months with no mainstream coverage. Worse yet, McGill University was quick to discredit this expert to their eternal shame.
A gem of a discovery.
I read with great interest the Psychology of Totalitarianism by Dr. Mattias Desmet in 2022. Upon understanding the “mass formation psychosis” phenomenon, it became clear to me why so many people denied the growing evidence that the gene therapy jabs came with unacceptable risks for young and healthy people.
The image of a ‘ear worm’ is forever locked in my memory to depict how frequent messages of a fear-mongering nature can take up intractable residence in the minds of millions of susceptible people.
The right solution was ignored.
The Great Barrington Declaration was published in early October 2020 and widely cited in the “alternative media” platforms throughout 2021. It offered a very reasonable proposal by three distinguis scientist/physicians who presented a way to bring an end to the pandemic crisis. I co-signed that document in October after watching a YouTube interview of the three authors on a British podcast called Unherd. Then I emailed the site’s web link to my MPP and MP and urged them to implement the Declaration’s plan. I am still waiting for a reply and evidence that even one elected official in Canada was aware of the Declaration - a document that has been signed and endorsed by over 939,000 people.
In my mind, I began to associate the professionals of the Canadian Covid Care Alliance with the same class of people who wrote the Great Barrington Declaration. In fact, I don’t doubt that many CCCA members were among the tens of thousands of medical and scientific professionals who signed it. I felt I was in good company.
Distracted in 2022 and 2023.
As life goes, I became engaged in other activities through 2022-3 and only paid occasional attention to the CCCA. A few months ago, however, the CCCA resurfaced on my radar partially because I learned that its mission will extend beyond the Covid focus of recent years. This suits me because my personal interests are varied and largely centred around political and economic topics with science and technology dimensions.
The Climate Change Crisis, for example, has interested me greatly - especially the way it was introduced and then foist upon the public. The pandemic crisis repeated the early Global Warming playbook whichvleveraged the ‘captured’ media, the political “useful idiots” and the public officials who guard and dispence the contents the “honey pot of power” - legislation and tax dollars. I wrote and published early in 2023 the e-book: What to Do About Climate Change – a Libertarian proposal. It is available on Amazon in Kindle format.
I followed up my first ebook with a citizen white paper - only 36 pages long and also published on Amazon. Called Digital Direct Democracy - A Libertarian Antidote to Digital Communism, it draws upon the knowledge I acquired over a 40 year career in Information Technology, my studies in Economics and my experiences as a policical candidate in nine elections.
Since January 2022, I’ve also been writing an online bulletin on Substack called My Life Lens. To date, over 350 short articles have been posted on a variety of topics of interest. As the name suggests, these essays reflect my personal views on many of the domestic and global events.
I am particularly fascinated by the ways emerging technologies are applied to modern life and how they enable fundamental shifts to occur in our social culture, political landscape, micro- and macro-economics, financial & banking services, education, health care institutions and the public governance in of these domains.
The CCCA: A Safe Haven for Facts With An Honourable Purpose.
Browsing the website, I saw the impressive list of credentials that are represented among the members of the Canadian Covid Care Alliance. How can anyone who sincerely wishes to make informed choices about their healthcare options even think to overlook the advice of an organization with such notable academic and professional backgrounds?
By comparison, news journalists employed by the likes of the CBC and other captured corporate media organizations have nothing to offer but a well-read teleprompter message. Most of them have studied Journalism but possess of depth of understanding of science and technology that is about as deep as an oil slick on the ocean.
Trustworthy Science?
I have long been suspicious of published science and here’s why.
While a student at the University of Waterloo in early 1970s, I studied the scientific method and statistics. These were prerequisites for the 4th year research project I conducted to complete an Honours B.Sc. in Kinesiology - the study of human performance. With this background, I’ve been able to read scientific papers, assess their hypotheses and research approaches, and evaluate the published conclusions. I had naïvely believed in the trustworthiness of published research in the same way a child believes in Santa Claus. This trust all began to erode two decades ago.
In 2006, I watched the American blockbuster documentary film An Inconvenient Truth. It famously featured former US Vice President Al Gore who presented a sensational prediction of a catastrophic future for the planet caused by burning fossil fuels.
Gore famously claimed: “The Science is settled” and “97% of scientists agree that anthropogenic global warming was a serious threat”. I knew immediately that Gore was either a science illiterate or a very ambitious con man.
It wasn’t long before nearly all the claims presented in that film were debunked by scientists. Their statements, however, never received the level of public attention of that film and yet the propaganda impact of Gore’s discredited fear-mongering persist even to this day.
Rinse and repeat.
The Covid and Climate Change crises followed the same recipe and many of us quickly recogized the pattern. Today, as the Covid crisis recedes into history, citizens are more sensitized to, and wary of, the renewed Climate Change campaigns by global elites and national governments.
Trust in governments, NGOs, globalist entities and corporate media entitled has never been lower. Every prescription they offer for an alleged threat is readily suspect or discounted entirely by the public.
The mood is right for a full press against the “mass formation psychosis”.
Most citizens believe the pandemic is over. The climate change narratives and other alleged threats, however, are still gaining some traction even in the midst of growing public skepticism.
In a recent speech, Dr. Mattias Desment advocates TRUTH TELLING by everyone as the best antidote to what I like to refer to as the the “mind-worm invasion of propaganda”. This, combined with extensive public education spearheaded by organizations like the CCCA, is essential to reverse the gullibility that comes with widespread scientific illiteracy.
The reduced attention span of citizens who have been conditioned to receive their news and information in the curated film clips, soundbites and X tweets is also partially to blame.
This is not to say that corporate journalists have done a good job. In fact, most of them must acknowledge most of the blame for presenting only one-sided narratives which were carefully crafted and approved by ”the authorities” with questionable motives.
2024 and the road ahead.
As a new member of the ECC team, I hope to make meaningful contributions towards reaching our citizens with useful material concerning some of the most consequential topics of our era. Each word will be written with an eye to protect our shared economy, constitutional rights and each citizen’s individual health and safety.
The FORMULA statement below is intended to share life lens” my personal views concerning the natural rights of Canadians and the limits to government authority which, I believe, will enable Canada to reach its full potential as a truly civil society.
Popularized by Maxime Bernier, they ideas in that statement can be summarized as: Individual Freedom, Personal Responsibility, mutual Respect and Fairness (equal treatment for everyond under a system of governance that applies humane, just and unbiased laws).
FORMULA for a Canadian CIVIL SOCIETY
The Fundamentals.
Every person is born with natural rights and freedoms entitling each to life, liberty and property. Governments must secure these in a just, accountable and transparent manner.
This fiduciary obligation must prevail over all other laws, acts of government or court decisions. No person, institution, company, government or body may arbitrarily suspend or circumvent the natural rights and freedoms of persons under any circumstance or condition.
Failures by public officeholders to fulfill their obligations to our citizens must have consequences, and those wronged made whole from the damages suffered.
The security of the life, liberty and property of every citizen, individually and within voluntary communities, is essential for civil, peaceful and prosperous societies. With this in mind, Canadians must re-assert these inalienable rights and the principles that defend them.
PRINCIPLES
EVERY PERSON has a body, mind and will of their own. Each individual has the absolute right of protection from attacks on their person or their property by any other person, institution, group, company or government.
Accordingly, the following rights and freedoms must be secured for each individual to:
• LIVE FREELY from intimidation, coercion, threat or attack from others regardless of their position or social status.
• HOLD BELIEFS of their own and to express them in a peaceful, respectful and non-threatening way.
• PURSUE GOALS and to work alone or with others to achieve them thereby providing for themselves and their family.
• OWN PROPERTY that they justly create, build or acquire.
• DEFEND THEMSELVES, their family and their property.
• EQUAL TREATMENT as separate persons under truly just laws.
THE FAMILY is widely acknowledged to have been a core element of thriving societies throughout human history. It must be honoured and protected against all unwarranted intrusions, including by governments - foreign or domestic.
GOVERNMENTS MUST SERVE in a transparent and accountable manner, NOT IMPOSE.
To safeguard Canada’s economy, national security, culture and heritage, all stakeholders must be able to engage in open and vigorous debates concerning significant public policy decisions, and to weigh their risks and benefits from intended and potentially unintended consequences.
Additionally, as trustees of the public interest, our government officials must:
DEFEND every citizen from direct and indirect harms, aggressions or threats by any other person, group, institution, company or cause, by any foreign power or actor, by any agent of government or by the courts,
MAINTAIN and MANAGE public property and common assets in a way that serves the present and future needs of all citizens,
CREATE or SUPPORT essential infrastructure and services that cannot be adequately provided without government involvement or funding,
ASSIST with the essential needs of those who cannot help themselves with the aim of encouraging self-reliance.
GOVERNMENTS MUST PROTECT the public interest to ensure that:
no statute, regulation, policy, program or action of government harms the natural rights and freedoms or the justly acquired property of any citizen or business owner,
no citizen is deprived of the right to provide for themselves and their family through trade and commerce,
no unearned and unwarranted privileges are granted to any person, group, corporation or institution,
no domestic or foreign organization, group or government can undermine the core values of our culture, or lay claim to our lands or our resources.
A BALANCE OF RESPONSIBILITIES between each citizen and the state must be established and maintained.
Governments must never assume authority over any person or their property without informed consent, and when personal responsibility and individual choices are both possible and preferred.
As representatives and agents of the people, those who hold public offices must place their duty to protect the rights of members of the public ahead of their own interests and the interests of any person, partisan, corporation, institution, group or cause.
Citizens must be unencumbered and able to protect themselves from government actions or inactions that violate their rights, and to hold the responsible public officeholders individually accountable for harms they cause.
CITIZENS HAVE OBLIGATIONS TOO.
While recognizing and respecting the rights of others, citizens must remain vigilant that public office holders cannot abuse the prescribed powers of the office they hold.
Those powers must be clearly defined and readily transparent to the public to clearly recognize when and where potential misuse those powers may occur to ensure accountability to their duties to uphold the rights, freedoms and just interests of others.
Citizens may act alone, or within associations, to identify and act to address any abuses of those powers.
Gene, well done.
Humanity is awakening to the injustices of the current DS agenda thru the policies implemented by the Liberal, NDP, and MSM.
I am sure your new group and your contributions will assist in this process.
“ I am particularly fascinated by the ways emerging technologies are applied to modern life and how they enable fundamental shifts to occur in our social culture, political landscape, micro- and macro-economics, financial & banking services, education, health care institutions and the public governance in of these domains.”
All of the above systems are being exposed as corrupt and will need to be re-structured. Groups and individuals are needed to follow principles such as you outlined to accomplish this.
A Unity Consciousness of “ All for One, and One for All “ is a good approach. This includes recognizing care and respect for the planet without the fear mongering shown by the activists.
Excellent work Gene
