NOT HELPFUL!
I rarely visit Facebook these days. There are too many posts that remind me of the lack of critical thinking displayed by many citizens who should know better than to post dumb stuff.
POILIEVRE is a variant of TURDO!
The above words were posted within a Facebook image posted by a former Ontario Libertarian political candidate.
Dismayed that he could be so dumb, I replied.
Name one better alternative than Pierre who has any chance of forming the next majority government in Ottawa. Nothing less that a majority will give the next Prime Minister any leverage to undo the many undemocratic Acts of Parliament that Trudreau and his cabal of power have passed since 2016.
Jacques Boudreau, for example, is the current leader of the Libertarian Party of Canada. Does he have any chance of forming the next majority federal government? No.
Maxime Bernier would be my choice over Poilievre, but is there any evidence that a majority PPC government will be the next majority federal government under his leadership? No.
Rather that throwing stones at Pierre, how about offering a better choice if you have one? Otherwise, stop posting ad hominem attacks aimed at Pierre Poilievre and start finding constructive ways to replace the Trudeau globalist regime with something much better!
Clean house in Ottawa.
Priority #1 is to dump Trudeau, Singh, Guilbeault and Freeland into the dustbin of political history along with as many Liberal, NDP, Green and Bloc Quebecois MPs as possible!
Sweeping out the political trash in Canada’s existing Parliament, and cleaning up the legislative mess that they have created since 2016, will be a huge undertaking. Why waste energy and public attention on useless messages on Facebook?
By posting that sign, that for Libertarian candidate showed that he doesn’t understand federal politics and that his post is definitely NOT HELPFUL. While average citizens might be expected to demonstrate political ignorance, there is no excuse for anyone who has run for public office at least once.
I recommend that he, any any other voter who wishes to be better informed, reads Right Here, Right Now by former Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Like him, or not, Harper sheds many personal insights into his life as a Canadian Prime Minister and the many compromises he had to make in order to maintain economic and cultural stability in our vast and diverse nation. It's the best book I’ve every read on Canadian politics!
Thanks Attila. I still have a couple of places to look for my Kobo reader. And I finally found my 3 DVDs of Atlas Shrugged I looked for after re-reading the book for the 2nd time after about 33 years.
I followed your link to Indigo, and it seems Stephen Harper's book may be out of print. Only the Kobo version is for sale. 'm sure I have a Kobo Reader, but I can't find it in my den.
I read the Prologue on the Indigo site, and I agree it is a good book. I assume there is an app that will let me read a Kobo book on my PC if I can't locate my Kobo reader.
