On the brink of disaster.
Trump’s Tariff Negotiation Strategy with South Korea offers a ‘win-win’ outcome. Not so in Canada🥺. Climate Change Carney, aka “Carnage Carney” in Britain, will flush 🚽US-Canadian trade relations.
Trump bashers take note😳👁️👀

US, South Korea Agree to Pursue Trade Deal Ahead of Tariff Deadline

Trump’s Tariff Negotiation Strategy is working. South Korea, a neighbour of China, has chosen the USA to be a Grade A trade partner on terms that are favourable to both nations - a win-win deal‼️
Four dimensions of trade.
The trade package focuses on four areas of negotiation—
1️⃣ tariff and non-tariff measures,
2️⃣ economic security,
3️⃣ investment cooperation,
4️⃣ monetary policies
Trump stated on Truth Social that they discussed tariffs, liquefied natural gas (LNG), an Alaska gas project, as well as “payment for the big time Military Protection we provide to South Korea.”
“Their top TEAM is on a plane heading to the U.S., and things are looking good,” Trump said. “We are likewise dealing with many other countries, all of whom want to make a deal with the United States.”
Following that talk, Han said that he expressed South Korea’s desire to strengthen its alliance with the United States and enhance cooperation in trade balance, shipbuilding, and LNG.
Peace is the 5th dimension❓
Pundits often claim that, historically, trade partners are not known to declare war on each other. This is not always true, as Chat-GPT points out.
Contrary to traditional wisdom, international trade integration of countries found across political divides may lead to an unbalanced world and conflict due to resentment and fear. The war in Ukraine has revealed an amazing paradox: nations can be at war while still trading with each other.
The terms of trade, and their faithful observance, matter‼️
China has entered into many trade agreements with American corporations under a trade umbrella with the USA government. Their faithful adherence to the letter and spirit of those bilateral arrangements has not been stellar.
On matters of national defence, many nations have taken advantage of America’s strength militarily, Canada included. Those nations have counted on American might to back them up whenever they engage in conflicts with their neighbours. NATO, in fact, has been built on this understanding, and the USA has bourn the greatest cost in terms of money and human resources. 💲👩❤️👨
Free American aid is coming to an end.
Trump’s negotiations with Israel, Ukraine and now South Korean have included a clear message with two options.
1️⃣ No nation should count on American aid to back it militarily during intergovernmental disputes.
2️⃣ If nations continue to expect America’s military support, they must pay for it.
Pierre Poilievre agrees.
When Pierre campaigns on the need to rebuild Canada’s military capabilities, he is signalling that Trump is right - Canada must step up its self-defence investments or pay for America’s military services through terms of trade.
The “free lunch” is over‼️ Canada must invest 2% of Gross National Product in its own defence infrastructure to earn America’s respect as a valued trade and security partner.
Mark Carney disagrees. WHY⁉️
Mark Carney has committed the 2% by 2030. One may wonder why he would set a target date after 2029 when his term, if elected, comes to an end.
Climate Change Carney
This Liberal Prime Minister has built his career and reputation on financial plans to “fight Climate Change”. His loyalty to globalist elites at the WEF, IPCC and United Nations on global warning 🥵 is undeniable 😕
As his top financial policy priority for decades, can any Canadian really expect Mark Carney as Prime Minister to prioritize a strong trade and national defence relationship with the USA over his cherished reputation and Climate Change Carney 😳❓
Carney said …
… the pact marked the beginning of a “60-year period of close cooperation, partnership, job growth and prosperity. That era has now ended, unless the United States and Canada can agree on a new comprehensive approach.”
Who does Mark Carney think he is⁉️
Those spoken words, by a man who has been Prime Minister for all of 5 seconds, and who merely keeps that seat warm during an active election, have stayed with me!
Déjà vu
Mark’s declaration demonstrated a level of hubris, belligerence and grandstanding that I expect of Justin Trudeau 🫨
It surprised me when those words were spoken by Carney - a message that reverberated around the world 🤯
Our declining reputation hurts every Canadian 🤕
Canada’s international reputation 🇨🇦 under Stephen Harper was excellent ❤️.
However, it began to circle the toilet bowl of socialism under Justin Trudeau, and has gained momentum with Mark Carney’s brash brinkmanship over trade with Trump’s America.
So much for Canadian National Pride. 😳😱😵💫
As Pierre Poilievre has said often:
Great insight from the Lens. Thanks.
