Ontario Sovereignty Act

Alberta has passed a Sovereignty Act to defend itself against federal policies that are harmful to Albertans. Ontario needs the same thing too.

What if Ontario citizens want protection from Ottawa? What next?

So, you don’t like the “build back better” plan coming out of Ottawa? You didn’t like Ottawa’s pandemic response either? How about Trudeau’s treatment of the Truckers Convoy last year and his innovation of the Emergencies Act? Did this make you feel proud to be a Canadian?

I could run up a list of things that has originated from our federal government that would quality as more than just petty grievances. I bet you can too.

Alberta’s leadership under Danielle Smith created provincial legislation that defines where Ottawa’s authority stops in the province of Alberta. Especially important is the Liberal Climate Change Agenda that obeys the Paris Accord, a United Nations agreement, at the expense of the prosperity of Canada. Trudeau’s priorities are NOT the priorities of Canadians in the Energy sector or it's customers - us!

Suppose a group of people in Ontario created and executed a plan that would eventually produce an Ontario Sovereignty Act. What would that plan look like?

Legislation defined authority. Without it, talk is just talk which produces nothing actionable. Therefore….

The Goal:

To convince one or more MPPs to write a bill for the purpose of creating an Ontario Sovereignty Act. Ideally, pattern the bill on the Alberta Act so that Ottawa sees solidarity of purpose between at least two provinces.

Steps:

1. Create a Citizens’ Referendum for Ontario Sovereignly Act. The refendum must be non-partisan to prevent parties from making it a political football that they seek to control. The refendum must be non-Woke because Identity Politics will defeat the purpose. Personal sovereignty must supercede special interest groups and, consequently, religion, ethnicity, gender, and other group affiliations have no bearing on the protection of every Ontario resident from federal overreach.

2. Create an online Ontario Sovereignty Petition. Seek a minimum of 100,000 signatures. Promote the petition through any agreeable organization that possesses a large email list including ‘freedom groups’, small political parties, alternative media (Rebel Media, True North) and social media, groups like the Ontario Landowners Association who are threatens by federal polices, and more.

3. Lobby all MPPs in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario (there are 124 of them) to pass the Ontario Sovereignty Act ASAP. Local riding constituents (such as freedom group members) could hold public rallies at the front door of the constituency office of every MPP in Ontario on a designated date to be known as Ontario Sovereignty Act Day. Provide clear and concise literature to state an unambiguous purpose. Designate a speaker. Invite all news reporters: 124 local rallies on a single day will be newsworthy and not a single MPP at Queens Party will be able to claim ignorance.

4. Rinse and repeat with adjustments until the Ontario Sovereignty Act becomes law. Hold all future bills accountable to this Act to ensure that Ottawa is allowed no wiggle room to impose its unwanted and undemocratic agenda on residents of Ontario. Hold annual Ontario Sovereignty Act Day rallies at all constituency offices to remind every MPP that we are watching them and ensuring that they are loyal to us first and foremost.
