Overnight transformation❓
With his Mandate Letter, Mark Carney seems to have had a conversion to Conservatism. Does this mean that he might name Pierre Poilivre as Canadian Deputy Prime Minister 🤪❓❓
Historic Mandate Letter
Released on May 21, 2025 by Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Mandate Highlights.
Our Priorities
We will focus on seven priorities:
Establishing a new economic and security relationship with the United States and strengthening our collaboration with reliable trading partners and allies around the world.
Building one Canadian economy by removing barriers to interprovincial trade and identifying and expediting nation-building projects that will connect and transform our country.
Bringing down costs for Canadians and helping them to get ahead.
Making housing more affordable by unleashing the power of public-private cooperation, catalysing a modern housing industry, and creating new careers in the skilled trades.
Protecting Canadian sovereignty and keeping Canadians safe by strengthening the Canadian Armed Forces, securing our borders, and reinforcing law enforcement.
Attracting the best talent in the world to help build our economy, while returning our overall immigration rates to sustainable levels.
Spending less on government operations so that Canadians can invest more in the people and businesses that will build the strongest economy in the G7.
Pierre Poilievre would approve⁉️
Reading this list, it could easily have been written by Pierre.
If Mark is serious about these priorities, his term as Prime Minister will surely last 4 years because he will find much common purpose with Conservative MPs.
👁️🗨️ Did the full responsibility as political leader to a nature of 40 million people finally land on Mark like a tonne of bricks?
👁️🗨️ Did Mark correctly understand that:
The election results very close between his Liberal brand of ideas and the policy changes proposed by the Conservatives.
This nation is truly divided between two dominant political tribes and that tribalism is not good for national unity on any level: culturally, socially or economically?
Trust but verify.
Mark Carney’s behaviour during the election period did not earn my trust in him as an honest actor. Only his actions, not his words, will earn that trust going forward.
If Carney were to announce Pierre Poilievre as Deputy Prime Minster, that would be a significant first step.
The ball is in Mark’s court.
Yup. I agree that you can’t trust a Liberal. They say one thing and do another. I retain just a little hope that Carney may have had a “come to jesus” moment and will use his Ecomomics training and monetary experience to understand that Trudeau’s globalist agenda was a catastrophe. A guy can hope, can’t he 🤪
I did not elect Carnage as my PM. He is not to be trusted and is here to bring Canada to her knees.
