Private and Public Property: an discussion between experts
I love discussions between experts
Such discussions are special, especially when they involve gifted teachers who can effectively present important ideas and their implications to our lives. Stephan Kinsella is one of those rare thinkers and teachers.
Stephan’s conversation is with Robert Breedlove, an expert on digital and fiat monetary systems. Their discourse concerns a review of the book "A Theory of Socialism and Capitalism: Economics, Politics, and Ethics". You can download a PDF copy from www dot Mises dot org. The ideas presented are thought-provoking and highly informative.
A Great Man
The book’s author, Dr. Hans-Hermann Hoppe (pictured), is my favourite Austrian Economics thinker. I have read his “Democracy: The God That Failed” and “The Economics and Ethics of Private Property: Studies in Political Economy and Philosophy” - two of my most cherished books on economics and political theory.
This discussion is long, nuanced and informative. It may not be to everyone’s taste. I believe, however, that everyone would benefit from the content presented. Ideas, like those presented in this online discussion and the books authored by great economists like Hoppe, are vital for our citizens to be prepared for the decisions and actions taken by many wealthy and powerful domestic and global actors today.
Information Overload Demands Being Selective
Sadly, we live in an era when every citizen faces a steady tsunami of information and stimuli arising from every facet of our lives. We are overwhelmed by its sheer volume and the cacophony of confusing signals that accompanies it. This is why I am very selective about the quality of ideas that I consume and recommend to others. I hope you choose to accept this recommendation.
