SWEDEN’s Lessons in Leadership.
During the pandemic, most nation leaders invoked “emergency powers” to take away the rights of every citizen to act responsibly - except Sweden.
Freedom of INFORMED Choice.
SWEDEN got it right! The Swedish Health authorities chose to INFORM THE PUBLIC, NOT CONTROL IT! A novel concept, right?
Justin Trudeau, a trained seal (oops, I meant ‘actor’) treated his Canadian audience night after night with his best rendition of a lion tamer with whip in hand. His acting coach? Klaus Schwab.
Anders Tegnell, a highly respected epidemiologist and physician with expertise in infectious diseases, successfully advised the Swedish government regarding its national plan to deal with the Covid19 threat. With no whip in hand or lion tamer in sight, Swedish citizens were free to choose if masking and jabs were right for them.
Swedens results?
Sweden experienced a stronger economy during and after the pandemic, fewer mental health consequences from unconstitutional lockdown policies, and disease outcomes from the virus that were better than, or no worse than, the majority of EU nations.
The difference in approach revealed a difference in RESPECT.
Trudeau showed no respect for Canadians or their ability to make informed decisions. He, and the Covid tyranny cabal under his command, plus the corrupted media, lied constantly to the public about the severity of the disease and the value of the mRNA jabs.
Tegnell saw the role of government as a source of honest, reliable and trustworthy advice and information that would help every Swede to make informed choices. He reasoned that Sweden had invested in a strong public Education system to produce citizens who could think critically and that the government could TRUST the citizens to act accordingly.
The Principled Approach.
I admired Tegnell’s advice because it agrees with the Four Principles for a Civil Society in which I believe as a Libertarian. A summary of my beliefs follows. It is the framework that informs what I expect from a Leader in a modern democrative society.
Personal Responsibility.
We each come into this world possessing our PERSON => body, mind, will and life energy.
Initially, we are fully dependent on others (parents). During childhood and into our teen years, we are taught and groomed to adapt and cope in a world full of risks and challenges.
By adulthood, our community members expect that we are able to survive and thrive on our own while participating and contributing as a productive community member.
Individual Freedom
The primary condition that must exist for a person undertake Personal Responsibility is the Freedom of Informed Choice to make the best individual decisions under any circumstances. The polar opposite of freedom is slavery. There exists a ‘continuum of legislated freedom’ that governments impose on individuals and organizations that spans a range of ‘degrees of freedom’ that citizens may encounter in life.
Every individual is uniquely equipped with personal assets (strength, intelligence, creativity, etcetera) and material assets (money, property, tools, social position, etcetera). As such, each individual’s ability and prospects for surviving and thriving will differ from other individuals. It’s these assets that Libertarians defend and protect as their natural (Go—given?) and inalienable person & property rights.
Freedom provides the social and economic environment to explore, learn and make the best of these assets throughout life. It's a lifelong process of self discovery and voluntary cooperation with others in community.
Respect.
Some people believe that respect in the eyes of others must be earned by admirable deeds. Others assign respect based on social status (elected or unelected) attributed to personal power, wealth, fame and authority.
Mutual respect between persons provides the best conditions for establishing a reciprocally-rewarding relationship. Contentious relationships arise when respect is absent.
Fairness.
Like respect, ‘fairness’ is subjective. It is measured against a yardstick that is very personal, often grounded in strong emotions and ideological convictions. The yardstick of a socialist will differ from that of a capitalist. The same applies to a poor person versus a wealthy one, or a strongman compared to a weak one.
In legislation, an idealist wants all statutes to apply equally to everyone regardless of any other considerations such as ethnicity or gender identity. Conversely, a lobbyist will try to influence the custodians of the Honey Pot, my metaphor for the source of all political power - legislation plus all money that is under state authority. Lobbyists want access to that public money and/or legislation in order to favour the unique special interests of the group that he or she represents.
The Honey Pot is filled with ill-gotten gains. They include tax revenues, public debt and biased legislation won by the efforts of past lobbyists. These gains are used by unscrupulous Honey Pot custodians for what many citizens consider to be corrupt and even treasonous purposes. As long as these conditions exist to tempt “dishonest” custodians, “fairness” will be forever elusive.
A True Leader
Anders Tegnell expertly advised Sweden’s Honey Pot custodians to leave it alone, and to avoid excessive and authoritarian lockdown policies and jab mandates. The majority of Swedish people trust and respect Anders Tegnell while the Canadian public hold Justin Trudeau with increasing suspician, especially after the Truck Freedon Convoy in early 2022.
My guess is that Trudeau skipped class to entertain his friends as ‘blackface’ when he was expected to take his crash course on leadership.
You're right about Sweden being an anomaly in a world gone crazy, though i would not be so quick to grant them a full halo. I believe they respected internal laws that prohibited a Chinese like response that other nations in turn, ignored. Full respect for individual human rights is not to be found in any nation on the earth at this time. And the situation is still not improving.
Did Sweden sign up for the WHO treaty?
