Canada is NOT in a Trade War will Trump’s America. Instead, we are facing trade adjustments that are perfectly legal and and designed to correct a serious balance of trade problems affecting Americans

This Epoch Times article offers a clear and succinct overview of tariffs: their purpose, problems, impacts, and effectiveness for achieving their intended purposes.
I post this in the encouraging more Canadians to consider Trump’s tariffs from a broader range of perspectives.
Tribal emotions are not helpful.
This morning, a retired family physician that I have known for years posted on Facebook something that reveals to me just how irrationally tribal she has become ov the current “tariff crisis”. Sadly, her’s is not untypical of highly educated members of Toronto upper-middle class elites who judge everything from their towers of privilege and “social justice” virtue signalling.
Social media is full of posts that claim Trump to be evil and doing his evil best to:
Destroy Canada’s economy.
Make Canada the 51st state of America.
Steal Canada’s natural resources.
Probably more, but I can’s keep up with all this silliness.
Trump is not the enemy of Canadians.
The real enemy is the CABAL of GLOBALISTS like Carney, Trudeau, Freeland and Singh who are wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Wise, informed and rational leadership is needed.
A true patriotic leader would peacefully and calmly negotiate to find common ground and mutual interests between the USA and Canada.
Instead, a wimpy little man by the name of Marc Carney has been parachuted from abroad into the role of Canadian Prime Minister.
Pathetically, Carney’s first official act was to rally this nation’s drama queens to kick Donald Trump where it hurts most.
Fear-mongering is Carney’s strategy.
If Canadians were not so emotionally volatile and irrationally tribal, they could not be so easily controlled by Mark Carney’s fear-mongering which is augmented 1000x by legacy media and some social media pundits.
A rational, intelligent and thoughtful reaction would be to study the market changes that Trump’s Tariffs will bring from as many perspectives as possible. For example, a typical response for a political leader like Carney is:
“Never let a good crisis go to waste”.
If you can make the crisis bigger, all the better‼️
This “tariff crisis” a chance for an opportunist like Carney to take centre stage and portray himself to be a bold leader while invoking more powers to authority to serve his political ambitions. Trudeau did this many times during his reign of terrible decisions.
The upcoming election will determine which of two factions really runs Canada:
🔵 The rational thinking kind who will work through an issue in an informed, disciplined and wise manner?
🔴 The irrational and economically-illiterate drama queens who will reflexively follow their tribal instincts regardless of ample evidence that it’s feeds poor choices.
Carney, Canada’s Prime Drama Queen.
Marc is barely out of the starting gate as Prime Minister, and he is on full display as the kind of leader that will use FEAR to CONTROL the gullible masses. Canada vast population of drama queens make it just too easy from him to lead by this method.
Is Canada led by a majority of irrational drama queen’s, or by a majority of wise, informed and thoughtful patriots?
IMO the tariffs are a tool used by Trump to undo the “free trade” boondoggle that shipped all manufacturing to countries employing near slave labour.
When I first came to Lindsay in the early 70’s there were 7 factories in town and an abundance of work. Nothing like that now !
The systems in use are made by the globalist rich for themselves. Trump is exposing and breaking these systems.
Manufacturing via industry is just the starting point. Watch the stock market dance as Trump manipulates trade with other countries. This is a necessary process ! As is turfing the Liberals.
I just wish I was not legally PROHIBITED from purchasing timely care in Canada instead if waiting on a waiting list. My DOG is better served in this country. And yes, there IS a way to solve this problem. Step 1 would be to stop the unions from controlling health care.
