Termite Infestations?
I remember years ago that many older homes in Scarborough, Ontario were reported to have serious infestations of termites and their evolutionary cousins, cockroaches. Damage repair was expensive.
Eroding foundations.
This article caught my attention this morning “5 Bugs That Eat Wood and How to Identify Them”. As I read this opening paragraph, I immediately saw a parallel with politics.
“Wood-eating insects are a nuisance and can quickly turn hazardous around your home, causing damage, especially in outdoor structures like wooden decks and garden sheds. They make a mess, destroy property, and weaken building support structures. Some cause skin irritation because they bite, sting, or carry parasites that bite. Others can generate mold and mildew creating allergic reactions.”
Eroding the foundations of democracy.
Democracy was once a concept in which virtually every citizen trusted and took for granted. It has, however, been undermined broadly across Canada and the USA to create dangerous levels of social and economic instability.
The very foundations of the instutions of democracy have undergone decades of decay reaching crisis levels.
How often have we witnessed our national leaders trip over their own feet or mumble incoherently on matters of vital importance.
Who could have imagined a generation ago that the USA and Canada could have the likes of Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau as heads of state?!
Bad ideas can be like termites.
When anti-democratic ideas have begun to infest a social structure, internal damage grows sight unseen until the rotten foundation becomes evident, and then even life-threatening.
Marxist Roots.
One nest of purveyors of bad ideas began to infest public institutions in the 1960s. Known as the Frankfort School of critical theory, men like Herbert Marcuse were instrumental to the success of a decades-long campaign to infuse ‘critical race theory’ (CRT) and other neo-Marxist ideas into American universities. Their students graduated and began careers within public institutions bringing CRT concepts with them. Public policies gradually appeared which reflect these ideas.
Today, these ideas have evolved and become endemic across public and corporate organizations. They are supported by globalist (the UN, WEF, W.HO.) and domestic groups (charities, NGOs, labour unions) who promulgate campaigns for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and others CRT ideologies like it.
Termites are relentless.
An article in The Epoch Times describes efforts by the usual suspects to extend institutional authority over ‘gender identity’ issues.
… in 2016, HHS began issuing a rule purporting to implement Section 1557 and prohibiting discrimination on the basis of ‘gender identity.’”
Texas and Montana, two states that exclude gender-affirming care procedures from their Medicaid programs and prohibit doctors from performing them on minors, sued HHS, arguing that the federal health department has no authority to mandate that the states adhere to these revisions.
HHS said in its press release that the regulations were updated to prevent “dehumanizing beliefs” surrounding medical treatments and conditions such as gender dysphoria.
“The Department will approach gender dysphoria as it would any other disorder or condition,” HHS said in its Final Rule. “If a disorder or condition affects one or more body systems, it may be considered a physical or mental impairment.”
Government overreach on matters like these are a clear manifestation of how far the rot has reached in American public instutions.
In Canada
The Globe and Mail recently published this story: “Afghan Sikh sponsors donated to Sajjan’s riding association during Kabul airlift campaign” by ROBERT FIFE and STEVEN CHASE
They reported that Canada’s federal Minister of Emergency Preparedness Harjit Sajjan chose to direct tax-funded resources to a purpose in Afghanistan instead of applying these to needs in Canada.
The records raise more questions about the connection between Mr. Sajjan and the non-profit charity that had pressed him and the government to try to rescue a group of about 225 Afghan Sikhs during final evacuation flights from Kabul as the Taliban cemented its control over Afghanistan.
As The Globe and Mail reported last week, Mr. Sajjan instructed Canadian special forces to rescue the group after the Taliban takeover in August, 2021, in an operation that three military sources say took resources away from getting Canadian citizens and Afghans linked to Canada on final evacuation flights.
Humanitarian aid can be an honourable cause, but many Canadians expect this to begin at home, and to not further aggravate Canada’s unstable public debt levels which amount to $Trillions.
Over 2000 species of termites exist.
All termites have forgettable Latin names. It’s difficult to distinguish one genus from another unless you are an expert in entomology.
Termites share common evolutionary roots with cockroaches. Are their any Latin names for the humanoid varieties?
Funny, after reading your Substack I am going to stop calling the "evil powers that be" parasistes, and instead switch to TERMITES!! Ha! At least I can laugh at the name change. Everything you state in this Substack is 100% true!
At least there are techniques like fumigation to get rid of termites and cockroaches....different techniques needed for idea pathogens like those arising from Marxism.
