Time for a name change Mr. Singh?
Jagmeet Singh’s desire to tax wealth and profits belies his love affair with Communism. He should rename the “New Democratic Party” to the Neo-Communist Party to be fully transparent to voters.
Privilege has gone to his head.
“A grocery tax?” really Mr. Singh????!!!
Jagmeet has a good gig and he brazenly lets you know it.
A CBC article with the title “NDP's proposed tax on 'excess' profits could rake in $8B: budget watchdog” was surprisingly anti-NDP when the journalist, David Thurston, offered the following statements published in April 2021.
A proposal to tax excessive corporate profits during the pandemic could generate nearly $8 billion in tax revenue, according to Canada's independent budget watchdog [the Parliamentary Budge Office]
With the federal deficit now pegged at $354 billion for2020-2021, New Democrats have called on the wealthy and profitable corporations to pay for increased government spending in response to the pandemic.
"If the Liberal government doesn't actually get down to making the ultra-rich pay their fair share, what's going to happen is the burden is going to fall on people, or the Liberal government is going to cut the help that people need," NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said, reacting to the [PBO] report.
"Both those options are wrong. We're providing a third alternative, which is let's make those at the very, very top, the ultra-rich, pay their fair share with the pandemic profiteering tax."
His ‘free ride’ at your expense.
Jagmeet Singh receives his rich compensation from you - the taxpayer. All the while, he produces nothing of value for it, and he spends his time, and your earned income, on spouting his Marxist nonsense.
In 2023, Mr. Singh received the base MP salary of $194,600.00, an extra $65,800 for being a party leader, and his last available expenditure report shows annual expenses of $82,220.91. Altogether, the itemized annual cost for Singh is about $342,620.91.
With Singh’s net worth of $5,000,000, is the NDP leader volunteering to donate most of his own wealth to the Canadians who need it or, instead, using his Parliamentary powers to prop up a wayward Liberal government and force other wealthy Canadians to “donate” to his pet causes?
Communism is the ultimate free ride.
“You will own nothing and be happy” is one infamous tagline from the World Economic Forum (WEF) that promotes a One World Order based on ‘stakeholder capitalism’ - their name for ‘digital communism’.
It’s no surprise that Jagmeet Singh and his associates Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland are longtime WEF members.
All three of them, in their roles as political elites, have milked the Canadian taxpayer for their own personal gain like so many others who have enjoyed the highest positions of power.
Have you ever seen Joe Biden, Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping struggle with the rising cost of living?
Didn’t think so.
If “the rich get richer”, do the powerful get more powerful too?
Margaret Thatcher famously said “The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of everyone else's money." Communism is the most extreme form of socialism. Thatcher might have added “The leaders of communism, however, have nothing to lose and everything to gain at your expense.”
Disclaimer:
Notice that I did not link the CBC article. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation received over $1,200,000,000 from you, the taxpayer last year. I boycott government institutions like the CBC whenever possible because they have already taken too much involuntarily from you and I.
Instead of ‘taxing the rich” as Singh wants, I prefer to defund the CBC for the genuine benefit of taxpayers.
In addition, taxpayers must also stop paying Trudeau, Singh, Freeland and any government-paid Canadian associated with the WEF.
Those three political elites cannot be considered genuine Canadian patriots when they attempt to serve two bosses. They must decide where their loyalties lay: either to the citizens of Canada OR to globalists with a Digital Communist agenda.
Evidence of Singh’s pro-communist bias is clear when he rails again the legitimate profits earned by grocery companies like Weston Corporation. The NDP Leader, his WEF associates and his proMarxist followers continue to promote inflationary policies on necessities like energy and food.
There is nothing patriotic in Singh’s NDP policies. They deserve nothing but scorn and defunding by the Canadian taxpayer.
A Citizens Preference Database (CPD) proposal.
For those of you who read the 12-episode series on Digital Direct Democracy, this proposal may put a smile on your face.
WHAT IF you could Opt-Out of paying taxes towards the compensation packages of Trudeau, Freeland and Singh?
What of every Opt-Out choice resulted in an automatic drop of $10 per year (adjusted for inflation annually) on each of their salaries and expense accounts. When these are empty, start to reduce their pension benefits next until they run out.
The scenario played out nationally.
SUPPOSE 30,000 Canadians chose to Opt-Out of making any tax payments to compensate Singh, for example. His annual salary and expense accounts would drop by $300,000. Such “tough love” would be good for Canadian democracy because it would provide the public feedback which every elite politician should expect.
Allow Canadians to impose REAL ACCOUNTABILITY on the people who choose to hold public positions of authority and power.
I also suggest that any public employee, whose compensation becomes subject to the Opt-Out mechanism, be required to submit to an independent annual audit of their annual earnings and personal assets from all sources. The objective is to deter third party organizations like the WEF, NGOs and “charities” from supplementing those compensation losses. Consequences must be swift and severe for such attempts to bribe a public leader.
Canadians deserve REAL TRANSPARENCY which this will provide.
Thank you Gene. I love the idea of opting out of paying income tax. I have been saying for at least a year to investgate Trudeau's net worth. It has gone from $4 million to $125 million in 8 years according to Forbes.
I feel too your utter contempt for Singh. Those 3 should be behind bars. Maybe one day.
