No candidate for President is perfect. I favoured Robert Kennedy Jr before he stepped down to support Trump. This short video clip is one example of why RKJ impressed me as the best POTUS choice.
I had my concerns with Trump when he started cheerleading the mRNA vaccines. Combined with some of his choices during his first term (John Bolto, Mike Pompeo, etc), I was starting to question if Trump was not himself part of "the swamp".
I also was a follower of RFK Jr, having read his book "The Real Anthony Fauci" as well as listening to some of his podcast episodes. Of late, I noticed that Kennedy was reaching across the aisle to interview people like Rand Paul. His decision to join the Trump team will hopefully prevent a "vote split" ( a term that I have come to loathe in Canadian politics) that could have left the door open for a Harris win (the same way that Ross Perot handed the White House to the Clintons in 1992).
My fear is that both Trump and Kennedy appear to be beholden to the Israel lobby. While I have always been supportive of a Jewish homeland in the Middle East, I'm not sure that I agree with Israel's actions in the wake of the events of October 7th.
