I fully agree. The is a role model for critical thinking and honesty that should justify her to become a household name, but we all know that this will never happen.

Just wanted to thank you as well, for all your posts over the last two years. I started following you after you were a guest on the CCCA’s weekly round table. You are doing a fantastic job and I appreciate your work! Thanks for being part of the solution and for spreading awareness! Best of luck in all your Libertarian endeavours! Liz

> Why do most Canadians insist on more government

It's simply that ancient amoral opportunistic desire to acquire more resources, by violence and theft in this case.

> Are they naive and gullible to political promises?

They are very astute, and very good at acting like naive victims, who just "coincidentally" benefit (in the short term) by the theft.

> Are they selfish and don’t care about the price their friends and family will pay so long as they get their preferred “free” stuff from the government?

Bingo.

> Do they hold self-righteous beliefs in “equality”, “social justice” and “reparations” for those in society who are most vocal about being “victims” of some real or imagined injustice?

Those are just very shallow and absurd virtue signals, a very fake narrative, like in the story of the emperor's invisible robe - the sycophants will recite whatever narrative they're given in order to get the loot. But they aren't being controlled, they're actively CHOOSING this lifestyle, and only go through those ritualistic narratives and rituals (voting) in a (futile) attempt to quell their guilty consciences.
